Turtle Inn sits on a narrow peninsula in Placencia, the Caribbean Sea on one side, a lagoon on the other. Francis and Eleanor Coppola bought it in 2001 as a family retreat. 28 thatched cottages and villas among the palms: hand-carved Balinese doors, air conditioning in most, outdoor showers, walled gardens, private pools in the family houses.
